The Maintenance Technicians primary responsibility is to ensure that the infrastructure of the University is maintained for safe and effective working conditions. Successful candidates will be able to perform a variety of semi-skilled construction maintenance modification and repair activities in assigned maintenance operations areas. The ability to perform physical and manual tasks in indoor and outdoor environments and operate hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner is essential to this position. Maintenance Technician II is the experienced-level class requiring 3 yrs the Maintenance Technician Series.
A high school diploma or GED is required in addition to knowledge and/or experience with HVAC electrical plumbing and other basic maintenance trades. A technical degree in related field is preferred.
