Job Summary

Wage: Based on experience
Status: Full time exempt
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Travel Requirements: Approximately 25% with field support as required
Schedule: Flexible schedule based on operational demands; hours may be long and irregular
Work Location: Local to Williston ND Shop. Please note: This position supports shop and field operations including remote job sites
Work Environment: Work environment is non-traditional. Work will be performed in shop and field environments which may include exposure to harsh weather conditions loud noise heavy equipment and non-climate-controlled settings

All new hire training will be based in Zelienople PA.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for supervising the maintenance and repair of the operational fleet and equipment. This role oversees shop and field maintenance personnel assigns daily work coordinates labor based on operational needs and ensures company procedures and safety standards are followed.

This position is best suited for an experienced diesel mechanic and maintenance leader who can effectively troubleshoot equipment manage competing priorities mentor employees and support operations in fast-paced shop and field environments.

Duties

  • Supervise the general maintenance and repair of the operational fleet and equipment
  • Manage and assign the daily activities of mechanics and service technicians
  • Dispatch and coordinate field and shop maintenance personnel based on operational needs
  • Perform and oversee maintenance and general repairs on truck-mounted oilfield service equipment hydraulic components and heavy trucks
  • Troubleshoot and maintain machinery and equipment in the shop and at field locations
  • Communicate with field personnel to coordinate efficient and appropriate equipment repairs
  • Work with Inventory personnel to maintain appropriate spare-component stocking and utilization
  • Assist with asset labeling tracking and inventory controls
  • Ensure the facility operates in accordance with company policies and standards
  • Ensure shop equipment inspections preventive maintenance and required certifications remain current
  • Enforce safe work practices and PPE requirements for shop employees
  • Assist with the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager in ensuring work orders are completed accurately and include all required information
  • Mentor mechanics service technicians and trainees while encouraging professional development and career growth
  • Assist with additional projects and tasks as assigned by management

Skills & Abilities

Education: High School Diploma GED or equivalent required

Experience:

  • 10 years of verifiable diesel mechanic experience required
  • Experience working with CAT and Cummins engines
  • Experience with Allison transmissions and hydraulic systems
  • Experience maintaining and repairing heavy trucks and truck-mounted oilfield service equipment
  • Previous supervisory or team-lead experience preferred

Other Requirements

  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
  • Must maintain a valid drivers license and meet minimum driving-record qualifications for company insurance purposes
  • Ability to travel to remote field locations as required
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule based on operational needs
  • Ability to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment
  • Ability to work in shop and field environments as required
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry between 21 and 50 pounds
  • Ability to frequently push or pull up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to occasionally push or pull between 26 and 40 pounds
  • Ability to stand walk sit reach climb crawl squat kneel bend handle and grip as required to perform essential job duties
