Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Mow grass and trim weeds.
  • Clean restrooms parks Beach House Bridgeview Park Building and other CWLP property.
  • Operate chipper chain saw and pruning equipment.
  • Perform maintenance on equipment.
  • Pick up rip rap garbage and branches. Perform snow removal.
  • Plant trees bushes and other landscape material.


Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will haveexperience operating a variety of equipment including small hand tools powermowers weed eaters saws rototillers tree spades stumpers sprayers andsnow removal equipment such as dump trucks with plows and spreaders. They mustbe available to work nights weekends and overtime often in inclement weatherincluding rain snow extreme heat and cold. This role may involve exposure toallergens insects herbicides fuel and loud noise. Candidates should be ableto read and follow written instructions perform daily equipment maintenanceand have basic knowledge of tree care pruning and snow removal ability over seasonal staff is also required. A high school diplomaor GED at least one year of equipment operation experience a valid Class Ddrivers license and CDL classification are necessary.

Preference for employment in all positions with the city shall be given to applicants who are full-time city residents.

To be eligible to apply current City employees must have completed their probationary period and attained certified status in their current position.
