We are hiring a Machinist/Quality Inspector at our Windsor CT. location
What Will You Do
Set up and operating machine tools such as lathes milling machines drill presses grinders and shapers to fabricate metal parts.
Set up calibrate and test equipment and evaluate the results of the test data.
Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
Work from drawings and process sheets to perform production tasks.
Perform daily weekly and monthly maintenance tasks to ensure machine longevity including lubrication cleaning and tool replacement.
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
Conform to specifications drawings order requirements and applicable codes or standards.
Inspect shafts impellers castings and casings.
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require
Standing for long periods of time
Stooping for long periods of time
Bending for long periods of time
Your Experience Should Be...
High school diploma or a GED.
3 years of experience working in a quality environment in manufacturing.
-Pay attention to details.
- Good oral and written communication
-Ability to work on a computer.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Must possess mechanical aptitude
Must understand materials cutting tools speeds and feeds coolant requirements and machining techniques.
Must be able to pass Drug Screening
Pay attention to details and be able to follow work instructions
