We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Machine Operator I. This key position will be based in our manufacturing operations located in Sylmar CA reporting to the Glass Manager.
Job Summary: Responsible for operating manual or PLC driven equipment to produce precision parts. Produce small or large orders or unique parts. Ensure products meet precise specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)
Use of manual and/or automated machinery
Select and setup all required printers with minimal supervision
Check accuracy of work against blueprints and specifications
Write and edit machine recipes as required
Basic machine functioning and troubleshooting
Maneuver bulky objects
Follow SOP
Daily TPM
Key Competencies:
Working knowledge of shop math
Ability to convert from inches to mm
Ability to read tape measures
Able to modify programs in response to problems
Ability to read and write English
Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
Requires a successful completion through a state sponsored vocational school high school diploma community college or technical school certification program in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.

Previous silk-screening experience needed.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

Requires:
Strong shop math skills measuring and calculating.
Previous silk-screening experience needed.
Problem solving skills
Attention to details
Analyze drawings blueprints specifications and design data to calculate dimensions tool selection machine speeds and feed rates.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to lift/pull/push 50 lbs. up to 50 % of the shift.
Must be able to stand/walk/bend/twist for prolonged periods of up to 10 hours/day as needed per production area.
Ability to make repetitive motions on the machine up to 40 % of the shift
