Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Effectively supervise groups within Logistics to ensure all customer requirements are met
  • Guide the escalation process. Review processes to ensure adherence to policy and adjust accordingly.
  • Review daily workload to ensure adequate availability of resources. Provide leadership in ongoing cost reduction and continuous improvement programs/projects.
  • Anticipate and resolve day-to-day issues complete root cause failure analyses and take corrective actions
  • Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes such as routing shipping modes product volumes or mixes or carriers.
  • Communicate freight transportation information to customers or suppliers using transportation management electronic logistics marketplace or electronic freight information systems to improve transportation service efficiency speed or quality.
  • Implement specific customer requirements such as internal reporting or customized transportation metrics
  • Manage relationships with our TMS/MTS providers
  • Weekly calls set up monthly meetings with key leaders- project updates industry updates improvements etc.
  • Quarterly reviews
  • Manage relationships with all LTL TL parcel and international providers
  • Review KPIs and customer requirements.
  • Ensure quarterly and month-end reporting is executed and validated
  • Visit Local Plants monthly and engage with shipping teams
  • Conduct RFPs: LTL Parcel TL (Dry-van and Flatbed) Air International Ocean

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in a Logistics-related field and 10 to 15 years of relevant work experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal written and team communication skills
  • 7 years of logistics experience with TMS/MTS systems
  • Strong systems skills including proficiency with integrated software applications
  • Thinks critically and can problem-solve
  • Computer and software knowledge required
  • Ability to interface with multiple levels of the organization and communicate effectively

Working Conditions

  • Normal office and manufacturing facility environment. Some travel may be required but not frequently (<10%).
