Basic Job Functions:
The Logistics Lead is responsible for supporting day-to-day logistics and transportation operations to ensure safe efficient and on-time delivery of products to customers. This role works cross-functionally with Sales Production Quality Material Handling and external transportation partners (truck rail and barge) to optimize transportation performance control costs and maintain high service standards. Willingness to work overtime weekends holidays and irregular hours as needed.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
2 years of experience in logistics transportation shipping or freight coordination.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook Excel Word Teams).
Experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or similar platforms.
Authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).
