Live-In Caregiver

Senior Helpers is currently seeking compassionate and dependable live-in caregivers who are willing to commit to live-in shifts of 3 to 7 consecutive days. This role involves providing one-on-one care in a home setting supporting a clients with daily living activities and providing personalized attention. Duration: Permanent

Schedule: Live-in shifts of 37 consecutive days

Responsibilities

• Live in the clients home for the duration of each assigned shift
• Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation light housekeeping and laundry
• Assist with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing dressing grooming transferring and ambulation
• Perform two-person Hoyer lift transfers as needed working alongside another caregiver
• Provide medication reminders as assigned
• Monitor and report changes in the clients health behavior and needs
• Provide overnight availability with adequate sleep opportunity provided per shift

Requirements

• At least 6 months of hands-on caregiving experience
• Comfortable and capable performing two-person hoyer lift transfers
• Compassionate caring and patient individual
• Willingness to learn new skills to best assist your clients
• Comfortable living in a clients home (but own area) for multi-day stretches
• Able to complete required orientation background checks and TB test/clearance
• Preferred: Experience in healthcare home care assisted living independent living home health medical assistance or nursing assistance

Benefits

• $16/hour regular rate with each live-in day paid as 16 hours (8 hours at regular rate 8 hours at overtime (1.5x) rate) approx. $320/day
