About the Role:

As a Litigation Principal Attorney you will lead sophisticated commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution or trial while helping shape the continued growth and direction of the practice.

You will serve as a strategic advisor to clients manage high-stakes disputes mentor attorneys and collaborate with leadership on business development and firm strategy initiatives. This role offers substantial client interaction leadership visibility and the opportunity to make a direct impact on the growth of the practice and the success of the firm.

The ideal candidate is a confident and experienced litigator with strong business acumen exceptional advocacy skills and a demonstrated ability to build trusted client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage commercial litigation matters from inception through trial or resolution
• Draft pleadings motions discovery requests and other litigation-related documents
• Handle depositions mediations arbitrations settlement negotiations and trial preparation
• Represent clients in complex commercial disputes including breach of contract business torts shareholder disputes and fraud claims
• Manage litigation proceedings in both federal and state courts
• Provide strategic business-focused legal advice and dispute resolution guidance
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive and practical counsel
• Collaborate with attorneys across employment corporate real estate and estate planning practice groups
• Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and legal staff on litigation strategy and case management
• Contribute to business development initiatives networking efforts and client growth strategies
• Participate in firm leadership discussions practice development and strategic planning initiatives

Qualifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Ohio
• 7 years of commercial litigation experience with a strong record of success
• Extensive courtroom and trial experience in federal and state courts
• Exceptional negotiation advocacy and litigation strategy skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
• Demonstrated leadership and mentorship experience
• Strong business development and networking capabilities
• Ability to manage complex matters independently while collaborating effectively with teams
• Business-minded approach to legal counseling and dispute resolution
