About the Role:

We are seeking a Litigation Associate to join our growing litigation team in Columbus Ohio. This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney looking to build a specialized practice representing energy industry clients in complex real estate and eminent domain matters.

While prior real estate or eminent domain litigation experience is not required the ideal candidate will bring a strong litigation foundation a desire to develop subject matter expertise and the ability to manage challenging legal issues in a collaborative and client-focused environment.

This role offers meaningful responsibility from day one direct client interaction hands-on litigation experience and the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys on sophisticated matters that have a significant impact on infrastructure development and energy projects. Attorneys in this position will gain exposure to all phases of litigation while developing valuable industry-specific expertise within a supportive and growth-oriented practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in real estate eminent domain and related litigation matters.
• Assist with all phases of litigation including case assessment strategy development discovery motion practice settlement negotiations and trial preparation.
• Draft complaints motions discovery requests settlement agreements and other litigation-related documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare written analyses of complex legal issues.
• Collaborate with attorneys and clients to develop effective litigation strategies.
• Manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Participate in client meetings and maintain regular communication regarding case developments.
• Analyze legal and factual issues and develop practical business-oriented solutions.
• Support trial preparation hearings mediations and other dispute resolution proceedings.
• Contribute to a collaborative team culture focused on exceptional client service and successful outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in the State of Ohio.
• Minimum of two years of litigation experience.
• Strong legal research writing and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
