Line Leader (Glass Manufacturing)

The Line Leader (Glass Manufacturing) is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of a production line in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. This role drives safety quality productivity and cost performance while leading continuous improvement initiatives and developing a high-performing team culture.

The Line Leader (Glass Manufacturing) WILL:

• Lead and coordinate production maintenance quality and support teams to achieve operational goals.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety quality GMP and audit requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency quality and productivity.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
• Partner with shift leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure consistency across all shifts.
• Support employee development training and team engagement.
• Lead problem-solving efforts and process improvement projects to optimize plant operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and labor agreements.

The Line Leader (Glass Manufacturing) SHOULD HAVE:

• Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of continuous improvement Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving techniques.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving operational performance.
• Excellent communication coaching and team-building skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment; glass manufacturing experience preferred.
• Project Management and/or Lean Manufacturing certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Kaizen and flow manufacturing principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using manufacturing and business systems such as SAP and other production quality or workforce management systems.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive operational improvements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change and support organizational transformation initiatives.
• Excellent interpersonal facilitation verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to coach develop and motivate employees in a team-oriented environment
• Flexible schedule - availability to support 24/7 operations

Salary Range:  The expected salary range for this position is between $95000 - $105000 and includes a possible 12% quarterly incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
