As a Licensed Veterinary Technician youll play a key role in patient care and work closely with our doctors and veterinary team.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to hospitalized and outpatient patients
- Perform and monitor anesthesia
- Read and interpret anesthetic monitoring equipment
- Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters
- Assist with surgery and advanced procedures
- Perform dental procedures and dental radiographs
- Assist with diagnostics and treatments
- Monitor patient recovery and provide appropriate post-operative care
- Educate clients on patient care and treatment recommendations
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Help maintain a clean organized and Fear Free environment
- Collaborate with doctors LVTs and Veterinary Assistants to provide excellent patient care
MustHave Qualifications
- Licensed Veterinary Technician active credential required.
- Strong venipuncture skills confident and efficient blooddraw technique.
- Restraint experience skilled in safe patient handling; Fear Freestyle restraint is a plus.
- Teamwork & communication collaborates smoothly with coworkers and maintains positive professional client interactions.
- Positive attitude ready to learn support the team and keep a sense of humor on busy days.
Preferred (but not required) Experience
- IV catheter placement able to place and secure catheters reliably.
- Anesthetic monitoring comfortable tracking patient vitals during procedures.
- Reading monitoring equipment able to interpret ECG pulse ox BP and other vitalsign data.
- Dental prophylaxis experience performing routine dental cleanings.
- Dental radiography able to obtain clear diagnostic dental Xrays.

- Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
- A current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
- Proficiency in a range of technical skills including nursing surgery dental care radiology and laboratory procedures.
- A calm and efficient approach especially in fast-paced or stressful situations.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively.
- One year of experience in the veterinary industry is preferred.
