Location:Brooklyn NY

Hours/Days: 5/8.5 hour shifts Mon-Fri between 8:30am-5:30pm

Organization: New York Health (NYH)

• Update and maintain the electronic medical record with up to date vital signs patient demographics medication reconciliation allergies and medical diagnoses

• Manage Physician inbox messages and prioritize tasks assigned via the electronic medical record

• Assist in maintaining the medical inventory; place orders for new materials and stock rooms to ensure adequate supplies for physician staff

• Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments

• Escort patients to exam rooms

• Provide patient education concerning medications management of diseases home treatments and special diets

• Assist physician with exams and/or procedures

• Prepare and administer Injections

• Phlebotomy and collection of other lab specimens

• Perform point of care lab testing

• Perform EKGs

• Administer and document medication under a physicians order and follows the five (5) medication rights and reduce the potential for medical error

• Be cross-trained in infusion & intake

• Current NYS LPN license required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required

• IV Competency required

• Consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills with patients staff and other health care professionals

• Experience with EMRs

• Reliable transportation to any of NYH locations for patient care needs

• Bilingual Russian/English required

• Salary: Starting at$36/hr
