| Job Description: | JOB SUMMARY The Copy Cataloger is responsible for shared cataloging of library material according to accepted national standards. This includes describing the content of items and occasionally assigning appropriate Library of Congress classification numbers. Catalog records are regularly edited and updated in OCLC WorldCat an international database of library collections and included in the library management system. Various catalog maintenance projects are occasionally undertaken including those involving review of cataloging problems for shelf-ready material. Responsibility for cataloging priority rush materials is shared on a rotating basis. RESPONSIBILITIES Shared cataloging of materials
