The position also manages library subscriptions maintains vendor relationships supports records management and copyright compliance and contributes to outreach and technical assistance position operates within a federally regulated environment and requires adherence to federal records management accessibility privacy information security and plain language prospective team member must have analytical and problem-solving skills be resourceful and able to work independently and collaboratively to advance ongoing and emerging tasks and projects while also maintaining patience and adaptability in a fast-paced Functions Responsibilities & Duties may include but are not limited to:Maintain and manage a comprehensive specialty digital and physical library collection focused on topics relevant to Minority health: Health disparities Health equity Cultural competency Access to healthcare Chronic disease prevention and complex literature searches using online databases library catalogs federal resources academic repositories and public health information and disseminate health statistics from federal state local and private data customized research support and information literature reviews and prepare summaries identifying key themes findings trends and authoritative sources subject matter experts and relevant research users in locating funding opportunities health data and minority health research resources. Manage phone and email automated systems for managing inquiries tracking requests and documenting integration of library resources into OMH knowledge management metadata indexing and digital asset continued functionality and accessibility of digital library usability and discoverability of online information webinars trainings and outreach activities that promote Knowledge Center resources and Qualifications:Professional library or information management performing cataloging and bibliographic control of digital supporting public health healthcare academic research or government conducting literature reviews and research support managing digital collections and electronic Experience Knowledge Skills & Abilities:Masters degree in Library Science Library and Information Science Information Studies or a related field from an accredited institution. 1 year of related experience preferred.
