Overview

TransPerfect is seeking motivated and tech-savvy Entry-Level Developers to join the team supporting Virtual Reef TransPerfects internal business platform. This role is ideal for early-career professionals who are passionate about software development problem-solving and building scalable technology solutions in a collaborative environment.

We are looking for candidates with experience or academic exposure to web development technologies databases front-end frameworks or QA automation platforms. Successful candidates will be eager to learn adaptable and excited to contribute to innovative internal tools and applications.

What You Will Be Doing

• Support the development maintenance and enhancement of the Virtual Reef platform

• Collaborate with developers analysts and cross-functional teams on new features and improvements

• Assist with troubleshooting debugging and resolving technical issues

• Write clean maintainable and efficient code

• Participate in testing and quality assurance efforts to ensure platform reliability

• Contribute to front-end and/or back-end development projects

• Help document technical processes workflows and system updates

• Support ongoing optimization and performance improvement initiatives

• Stay current on emerging technologies and development best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Software Engineering or a related field preferred

• Exposure to or experience with one or more of the following:

  • PHP

  • MySQL

  • JavaScript

  • React

  • QA automation platforms such as Playwright or Selenium

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Basic understanding of software development principles and web technologies

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn

• Internship academic project or personal project experience is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git

• Experience working with APIs or databases

• Exposure to QA testing methodologies or automation frameworks

• Understanding of responsive web design and modern UI/UX principles
