Lead Server

Marys Woods is looking for a Lead Server with exceptional communication and customer service skills to supportour Food and Beverage department. As a Lead Server youwill be leading a team of servers and serving mealswhilecreating a clean and beautiful table for residents and guests to must be able to relate positively and favorably to staff residents and familiesand enjoy working on a team while continuing to promote our mission and vision.

Marys Woods is a non-profit senior living community founded in 2001. We offer independent living assisted living memory care and residential care in a park-like setting on 40 acres in Lake Oswego. We pride ourselves on our rich heritage spirit of caring and welcoming are seeking passionate team members to join us in fulfilling our mission and values.

Below are some of the core responsibilities experience and skills needed to be successful:

• Create an environment that acknowledges encourages and celebrates differences

• Support the training of team members to ensure consistency in oursteps of service
• Providedirection and guidance to all front-of-house service staff and resolve guest issues encountered by the service staff in absence of a supervisor or manager
• Demonstrateknowledge of menu offerings including daily specials soups desserts and our beverage program
• Demonstrateknowledge of food sanitation workplace safety housekeeping procedures and food service techniques
• Complete opening and closing duties as well as appropriate side work as designated by established procedures
• Communicatewith managers on department matters and concerns involving residents employees other departments safety and sanitation
• Assistin the set-up of tables and the seating of residents
• Must be courteous at all times taking resident food orders serving food bussing tables and resetting table once the resident has departed
• Must maintain a pleasant demeanor and demonstrate excellent communication skills
• Other duties may include those of Host Barista and Bartender with some guidelines and etiquette specific to those duties additional training will be provided

Education and Experience Required:

• Minimum one (1) year of serving or front-of-house experience required
• Minimum six months of leadership experience in restaurants hotels or retirement preferred
• Current Oregon Food Handlers Card

Schedule Available:
This is a full time position and requires the ability and willingness to work flexible hours and days including weekends and holidays. The current available schedule is Tuesday - Saturday.
