Lead Material Handler

Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Mandatory Overtime as Required

About the Role

McKesson is seeking a Lead Material Handler to support daily warehouse operations within our distribution this hands-on leadership role you will coordinate workflow support inventory accuracy train team members and help ensure products are received stored and shipped safely and efficiently. This position works alongside warehouse associates while serving as a subject matter expert and resource for the team to drive productivity quality and operational excellence.

What Youll Do (Responsibilities)

• Coordinate daily activities and provide guidance to warehouse team members to support productivity quality and safety goals.

• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts reach trucks and pallet jacks to move store and retrieve inventory.

• Support receiving put-away picking packing shipping and order fulfillment activities.

• Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts investigations and inventory control processes.

• Train and mentor new and existing employees on warehouse procedures equipment operation and safety practices.

• Troubleshoot operational issues and help resolve inventory fulfillment or workflow challenges.

• Maintain a clean organized and safe distribution center environment while complying with all company policies and regulatory requirements.

Basic Requirements

• Typically requires 5 years of related experience

• Experience performing inventory control order fulfillment shipping receiving or warehouse operations activities.

• Ability to use warehouse management systems (WMS) RF scanners and basic computer applications.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Experience serving as a lead trainer mentor or informal team leader in a warehouse environment.

• Forklift reach truck or powered industrial equipment certification.

• Experience supporting productivity quality and safety initiatives within a distribution center.

• Strong problem-solving and inventory reconciliation skills.

• Knowledge of warehouse KPIs workflow coordination and process improvement.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• On-site position within a fast-paced warehouse/distribution center environment.

• Mandatory overtime required based on business needs.

• Frequent standing walking bending reaching and lifting throughout the shift.

• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and work in varying warehouse conditions.

• Ability to lift move and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
