Job Summary
This entry-level position supports the Land Department by performing administrative and technical tasks under direct supervision. The Land Technician I is responsible for preparing routine land-related documentation tracking partner communications and assisting with invoice processing. The role is designed to help the employee learn industry terminology procedures and systems while contributing to the teams operational efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing submitting and tracking proposal letters sent to partners.
- Preparation of contracts JOAs oil and gas leases assignments and other applicable documents.
- Enter and maintain detailed information relating to oil and gas contracts and well records within designated systems.
- Review and code invoices to the appropriate AFE and circulate for approval.
- Introduction to calculating basic ownership in wells.
- Maintains accurate data in land systems to ensure proper reporting to stakeholders.
- Apply established principles company policies and standard operating procedures to complete assigned tasks efficiently and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Communicate and correspond with other work disciplines to ensure project execution and collaboration.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma (or GED)
- An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Some prior related land or oil and gas experience
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Requires prolonged sitting some bending and stooping.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
