Job Summary

The Technical Project Manager will lead the planning coordination and execution of the UCSF Health Central Laboratory relocation and activation project at the new Building located at 369 Oyster Point in South San Francisco. This highly visible enterprise-wide initiative includes the consolidation of Laboratory Services into a centralized state-of-the-art laboratory facility designed to enhance operational efficiency scalability automation and service quality across the health system. The incumbent will manage complex cross-functional efforts involving laboratory operations equipment and automation integration IT infrastructure Epic Beaker and laboratory systems implementation workflow redesign operational readiness regulatory compliance and organizational change management. Working closely with executive leadership laboratory operations clinical stakeholders Health IT teams and external vendors the Project Manager will be responsible for governance budget and schedule management risk mitigation stakeholder engagement and transition planning to ensure a seamless relocation and successful activation of the centralized laboratory environment while supporting UCSF Healths long-term strategic goals for innovation growth and excellence in diagnostic services.

*Relocation of the actual Lab services .not new construction perse.

Required Qualifications
EPIC PM experience required
5 to 7 years of project management experience.
Minimum 2 years of healthcare industry experience.
Experience managing technology related initiatives.
Ability to anticipate obstacles and develop contingency plans.
Strong attention to detail and prioritization skills.
Experience selecting and implementing project management methodologies.
Strong leadership negotiation and problem solving skills.
Advanced organizational and project management capabilities.
Experience tracking project budgets schedules metrics and resources.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
Experience leading teams of technology professionals.
Ability to integrate information across disciplines and align projects with business strategy.
Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of computing and communications infrastructure networking software operations and disaster recovery.
Experience working with Epic applications.
PMP Certification from PMI.
Epic Certification in one or more Clinical or Revenue Cycle applications.

Position Summary

The Technical Project Manager 4 leads large complex technology projects and programs across UCSF. This role is responsible for planning coordinating and overseeing project scope requirements schedules budgets resources risks and deliverables from initiation through completion. The position partners with clinical operational technical and executive stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes that align with organizational priorities.

The incumbent establishes project governance reporting and risk management processes while managing multiple concurrent initiatives. This role requires the ability to direct vendors engineers design and construction teams and other project participants to deliver projects on time and within budget.
