Job Summary
The Dominion Generation business unit is seeking highly-motivated individuals to perform Laborer activities at the Virginia City Hybrid Energy Center (VCHEC) in Wise County VA. VCHEC is a new state-of-the-art coal and wood waste-fired power station located in the beautiful mountains of southwest VA (near St. Paul VA). With a net generating capacity of approximately 610 MW the station provides electricity to power about 150000 homes!



The successful candidate will perform general housekeeping and maintenance duties inside and outside of the power station in all types of weather conditions. This includes general clean up by sweeping scrubbing/waxing floors; cleaning in the fuel ash lime limestone and wood handling facilities and other spaces; removing trash and shoveling coal wood lime limestone fly ash and bed ash from various areas of the station; washing areas such as the boiler baghouse scrubber and material handling area; cleaning vehicles and equipment other general tasks such as painting running errands cleaning up oil spills etc.

Required Knowledge Skills Abilities & Experience
Minimum Requirements (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will
be considered one year towards the qualifications):
High School diploma or GED with 0-2 years of experience.
Valid State drivers license.
Preferences (Be sure to include details in your resume if you meet one or more of the following):
Relevant prior military experience
Relevant industrial experience.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to operate heavy equipment such as BobCats forklifts and tractors
Ability to assist all departments daily in areas of physical labor duties
Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds
Ability to work occasional planned and emergency overtime

Education Requirements
High School diploma or GED with 0-2 years of experience.
