Laboratory Operations Technician

Job Summary
- Be responsible for compliance with Safety Health and Environmental plan; must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with applicable safety regulations and Company safety policies and rules as well as reporting safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel.
- Be responsible for compliance with the Quality Assurance Plan policies and procedures.
- Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance level as determined by the Company.
- Be responsible for completing all assigned training.
- Support the maintenance and repair of operational and laboratory equipment which includes the following: ultra-low freezers refrigerators incubators water filtration systems small laboratory equipment etc.
- Coordinate with onsite measurements standards and calibration laboratory to ensure calibration equipment remains in compliance with NASA Standards.
- Coordinate with offsite vendors for proper receipt and return of instrumentation for calibration.
- Provide support for off-nominal temperature excursions.
- Provide support for the Bioanalytical Core Laboratory Facilities to include property management chemical inventory vendor coordination and general health and safety compliance.
- Provide procurement support and coordination for division sponsored service contracts.
- Provide back-up support for documentation custodian and QMS documentation.
- Provide back-up support for PPE distribution.
- Receive and distribute dry ice and liquid nitrogen.
- Perform weekly eyewash and safety shower inspections as needed.
- Perform other duties as required
- Must have a BS in Engineering Technology or a related field
