Job Summary



What You Will Do
The Controls Technician isresponsible for installing maintaining troubleshooting and repairing the electrical and computer-based control systems that operate machinery on the production line ensuring smooth operation by identifying and resolving issues with PLCs HMIs sensors and other automation components often working closely with maintenance and production staff to optimize production processes.

How You Will MakeanImpact
  • Responsible for the commissioning diagnosis calibration maintenance and repair of environmental-control systems and processesutilizingknowledge of electronics direct digital control (DDC) airflow hydronics refrigeration theory pH sensors flow meters electricalmetersand system control techniques
  • Work with the Maintenance Controls Engineer Plant Engineer and the Facility Engineer to keep all control systems mechanical and electromechanical field devicesoperatingaccording to the basis of design
  • Assistmaintenance techs troubleshoot electrical controls related process issues
  • Adhere to national electrical codes NFPA 70E standards and strict Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety procedures.
  • UseRockwell Automation softwaremultimeters and diagnostics to find and fix electrical or control failures.
What You Will Bring
Required
  • High School Diploma
  • Associate or Technical Degree Certification in Electronics Industrial Electrical Engineering Engineering Manufacturing Logic HVAC preferred
  • Ability to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules GMPs and general instructions.
  • Ability tocommunicateeffectively.
