A premier national law firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join its Philadelphia office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing employers in sophisticated employment litigation workplace counseling labor matters and employment-related transactions.

3 years of labor & employment experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

Experience representing employers in employment litigation including discrimination harassment retaliation wrongful termination wage and hour restrictive covenant and leave-related matters

Experience advising employers regarding employment law compliance workplace investigations employee discipline terminations reductions in force and day-to-day counseling

Experience handling matters arising under Title VII the ADA the ADEA the FMLA the FLSA ERISA and comparable state employment laws

Experience supporting the employment aspects of mergers & acquisitions corporate transactions executive employment agreements and restrictive covenant matters is preferred

Experience representing employers before federal and state agencies including the EEOC and state labor agencies is a plus

Strong legal research writing analytical negotiation and oral advocacy skills

Ability to independently manage sophisticated employment matters while maintaining significant client interaction

Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

Pennsylvania bar admission required or ability to become admitted

Nationally recognized labor & employment practice

Sophisticated employer-side litigation and counseling work

Exposure to employment issues arising in corporate transactions

Significant client interaction and responsibility
