Position:Lab Coordinator
Reportsto: Lab Supervisor and Lab & Shipping Manager
Responsible to oversee the receipt suitability and routing of all lab samples
Primary Duties andResponsibilities:Including but not limited to the following:
Packingandshipping of outside testsamples.
Communicate with inter-departmentstaff totroubleshootissues.
Receive andprocessincoming samples.
Reviewinspectand documentinboundloads.
Prioritizeproductworkflow on theproduction floor.
Traceability and investigation regardingany samplemovement.
Prepare test report andcommunicateresults.
Usecomputerscannersand/or software to input test results.
Other dutiesasassigned by management.
Educationand Eligibility:
High schooldiploma or equivalent.
Minimumof 6 months experience workingin a mechanicaltesting lab preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Experiencewith various workcellsat themechanicaltesting lab.
Knowledgeof varioustestpathsin the lab.
Knowledgeoftime constraints atvariouswork cells in the lab
Ability and familiarity withsample sizeorientationandgeometry.
Knowledgeofmaterialproperties.
Ability to safely move aroundandworkin an industrial plantenvironment for extendedperiodoftime includingfrequent bending stooping andoccasionalexposure to extreme heat
Ability tostand for extended periodof timewith dexterity related tohandling/manipulating small metalsamples andaccessories to testthem.
Occasionally lift up to50lbs.
Ability to workirregular hours andextended hours as required and maintain job performance standards.
Maintain good personal hygiene and professionalappearance.
