Job Summary
The Kiddos Kitchen Lead oversees daily kitchen operations ensuring high standards of food safety quality and service. This role is both hands-on and supervisory combining food preparation cooking and leadership responsibilities. The Kitchen Lead works closely with the Manager to guide the Kiddos Kitchen Crew maintain organization and deliver a positive dining experience for families.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of Kiddos Kitchen including food prep cooking and order fulfillment.
• Lead and support Kitchen Crew members by assigning tasks providing guidance and ensuring teamwork.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health department regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels assist with ordering supplies and minimize waste.
• Ensure consistency in food quality portion control and presentation.
• Accurately manage and deliver all birthday party food orders on time to keep parties running smoothly.
• Assist with scheduling and training new kitchen staff.
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service during peak times.
• Keep work areas equipment and storage organized and clean at all times.
• Handle customer concerns related to food service promptly and professionally.
• Support Kiddos Playplaces mission of creating a clean safe and family-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or food service experience required; leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety standards (ServSafe certification a plus).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Positive attitude problem-solving skills and ability to motivate a team.
• Must be available to work weekends evenings and holidays as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
