OverviewPosition Title: Elementary School Principal (K3)Organization: American Renaissance School (ARS)Location: Statesville NCReports To: Executive DirectorPosition Type: Full-Time 12-MonthPosition PurposeAmerican Renaissance School seeks a visionary collaborative and highly accountable Elementary Principal to lead our Kindergarten through 3rd-grade building. The K3 Principal serves as the primary instructional and administrative leader of the campus fostering a safe positive and inclusive learning environment. This role focuses on early childhood pedagogy foundational literacy and student-centered support ensuring every young learner has access to a high-quality education while advocating for the needs of historically underserved Responsibilities & Essential Duties1. Instructional & Data-Driven LeadershipLead data-driven instruction initiatives guiding teachers in analyzing assessment data to differentiate instruction implement interventions and close academic achievement the implementation of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework to address student academic and behavioral school improvement initiatives establishing high standards for student growth equity and educational excellence.2. School Climate Culture & AdvocacyModel high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct maintaining a highly visible and active presence throughout the school through transitions or climate challenges by building a collaborative transparent and positive school every studentregardless of ability background or circumstancehas access to a high-quality education actively advocating for diverse and growing student populations.3. Human Resources & Master SchedulingManage campus-level staffing and personnel decisions in close collaboration with the Executive and implement strategic master schedules that prioritize instructional needs while ensuring complete licensure and credential compliance across all evaluate and hold staff accountable to established expectations and outcomes providing constructive feedback and professional development.4. Operations Budget & Exceptional Children (EC) ProgrammingManage the campus-level budget responsibly ensuring resources are aligned with instructional and oversee programming for schools serving a high Exceptional Children (EC) population ensuring compliance and robust resource strong knowledge of and commitment to school safety protocols emergency preparedness and regulatory compliance; implement safety procedures train staff and respond decisively in crisis situations.5. Community & Stakeholder EngagementCommunicate effectively and transparently with staff families and community stakeholders to build trust and with a diverse student body demonstrating cultural competence and a commitment to meeting varying academic linguistic cultural and socioeconomic Qualifications & RequirementsMinimum QualificationsLicensure: Valid North Carolina School Administrator license required (must hold or be eligible for licensure at the time of hire).Education: Masters degree in School Administration or a related Education Experience: 35 years of experience as a licensed Experience: 35 years of increased responsibility in an administrator QualificationsAdvanced Degree: Doctorate in a related Experience:5 years as a licensed educator in an Elementary setting.5 years in an administrator role at the Elementary & Improvement: Proven experience leading school improvement initiatives or leading in a low-performing school Program Knowledge: Direct experience supporting EC programming at the elementary level and working within a charter school governance CompetenciesChampion for Equity: Proven track record of closing achievement gaps and advocating for historically underserved student Communicator: Ability to build bridges with families staff and the board through proactive honest Strategist: Skillful at balancing master schedules compliance and strict budget management without compromising instructional American Renaissance SchoolAmerican Renaissance School is a public charter school dedicated to providing a rigorous student-centered education.
