IT Service Desk Engineer Apprentice

About the role:
Youll be the first point of contact for IT support helping to resolve issues and ensure smooth day-to-day operations for customers. Working in a fast-paced environment youll provide support over the phone via a ticketing system and occasionally on-site. Alongside your role youll complete a Level 3 IT apprenticeship giving you the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge and skills while gaining hands-on experience. This is a great opportunity to build a strong foundation in IT support while delivering excellent customer service and contributing to continuous service improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to customers remotely and on-site
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues including Windows and Mac operating systems
• Respond to IT requests within agreed SLA timeframes
• Install and configure IT equipment in office remote and on-site environments
• Set up user accounts email addresses and groups
• Maintain accurate documentation of processes configurations and critical information
• Support upgrades of IT hardware and software
• Troubleshoot printers copiers and scanners
• Communicate clearly with customers keeping them updated on progress
• Work collaboratively with the wider team sharing knowledge and updates
• Support IT projects and attend training as required

• Full UK driving licence and access to your own car (preferred)
• No prior IT experience required

Entry requirements:

• 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4 (A-C) in any subject
• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3 (D or above)
• Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours: 40 hours per week 10am 7pm Monday - Friday (1 hour unpaid lunch break per day)
