Job Description: IT Infrastructure Analyst (Security) Location- Remote Position Overview
The IT Infrastructure Analyst (Security) is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organizations IT security infrastructure to protect systems networks applications and data. This role assists in monitoring security controls investigating security events managing vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance with security policies and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain security infrastructure including firewalls endpoint protection and security monitoring tools.
- Investigate and respond to security alerts incidents and potential threats.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and support remediation activities.
- Assist with security audits risk assessments and compliance initiatives.
- Manage user access controls and identity management processes.
- Monitor network and system activity for suspicious behavior.
- Support security patch management and system hardening efforts.
- Maintain security documentation procedures and incident records.
- Collaborate with infrastructure application and support teams to implement security best practices.
- Assist in disaster recovery business continuity and cybersecurity awareness initiatives.
- Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats vulnerabilities and industry trends.
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Cybersecurity Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
- 2 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure cybersecurity or information security.
- Knowledge of network security operating systems and security technologies.
- Experience with security monitoring vulnerability management and incident response processes.
- Familiarity with Windows Linux and cloud environments.
- Understanding of security frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with SIEM endpoint detection and response (EDR) and vulnerability scanning tools.
- Knowledge of cloud security concepts and technologies.
- Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
- Experience supporting security audits and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Relevant certifications such as:
- CompTIA Security
- ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC)
- GIAC certifications
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (preferred for advanced candidates)
