Job Summary
We are looking for an IT Help Desk Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will provide first-line technical support to users troubleshoot hardware and software issues maintain computer systems and ensure the efficient operation of IT services. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills excellent customer service abilities and a passion for technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve IT support requests via phone email chat or ticketing systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware software printer and network issues.
- Install configure and maintain computers operating systems and applications.
- Set up and manage user accounts passwords and access permissions.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT personnel when required.
- Document support activities and maintain accurate records of incidents and resolutions.
- Assist with system upgrades updates and routine maintenance.
- Provide end-user training and technical guidance.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience in an IT support or help desk role is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems Microsoft Office and basic networking concepts.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as CompTIA A Network or ITIL Foundation.
- Experience with help desk ticketing systems and remote support tools.
