Job Description: As a Data Architect you will lead the design governance and implementation of enterprise data architecture across cloud on-premises and hybrid environments. You will define data strategy establish architectural standards and guide Agile delivery teams to ensure scalable secure and high-performance data solutions aligned with business objectives. The role requires strong expertise in modern data platforms integration frameworks and analytics technologies along with the ability to drive innovation and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead enterprise data architecture across cloud platforms including AWS Google Cloud and Salesforce as well as on-prem systems
Define and maintain data architecture artifacts such as data models data flows and integration patterns
Design and implement scalable data pipelines ETL processes and data integration solutions
Establish and enforce data governance quality security and compliance frameworks
Develop logical and physical data models to support analytics and operational systems
Architect solutions using microservices APIs and messaging platforms such as Kafka
Support cloud migration strategies and modernization of legacy systems
Collaborate with engineering analytics and business teams to deliver data-driven solutions
Provide architectural leadership for complex multi-system initiatives
Evaluate system performance scalability and technical feasibility of solutions
Ensure alignment with enterprise standards best practices and regulatory requirements
Support BI and analytics platforms enabling reporting and decision-making capabilities
Maintain documentation and provide guidance on architecture standards and processes
Stay updated on emerging technologies in data analytics and cloud ecosystems
Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field
10 years of progressive IT experience with strong focus on data architecture
3 5 years of experience in a Data Architect role
Strong expertise in data warehousing data modeling and data design best practices
Experience with BI and analytics tools such as Tableau Power BI or Looker
Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases
Experience with enterprise integration patterns ETL processes and data transformation
Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka and API-based integration
Strong experience with cloud platforms including AWS Google Cloud and Salesforce
Familiarity with big data technologies and modern data platforms
Understanding of data governance security compliance and data residency requirements
Experience with Agile Scrum or similar methodologies
Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business stakeholders
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $60.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
