Interventionist Full-time (LTS - 1 year)
Elementary (Kindergarten - 5th Grade) - Goodyear Elementary School
Long-term substitutes are compensated at a daily rate of $125.00 for the first 20 workdays of an assignment. Beginning on the 21st workday compensation increases to the applicable daily rate based on the substitutes educational qualifications: $346.55 per day for those with a Bachelors degree or $372.42 per day for those with a Masters degree. This rate remains in effect for the duration of the assignment.
The Elementary Interventionist will work with students in small group settings across Kindergarten through Grade 5 providing targeted academic support in alignment with the Massachusetts DESE curriculum. The Interventionist will support students performing below grade level in reading mathematics and other core content areas. This role collaborates closely with classroom teachers administrators content and reading specialists and support staff to deliver research-based interventions and monitor student progress with the ultimate goal of improving academic outcomes.
Reports To: Principal and/or Curriculum Coordinator.
Preferred: Bachelors degree in Education or related field.
- Strong instructional and classroom management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and families
- Proficiency in using student data systems and technology-based instructional tools
Hours: Full-time position (within WTA contract hours)
Pay Rate: 1 year LTS - to be paid bi-weekly.
Schedule: Full school year position.
