JOB SUMMARY PURPOSE:
Under the direct supervision of the Manager of Electrification the Intern is responsible for performing various initiatives related to the development and implementation of innovative technology-enabled customer programs. These programs may include Electric Vehicle (EV) programs energy storage virtual power plants and demand response initiatives.
Interns responsibilities will include conducting benchmarking studies of other utility programs development of business cases for new programs development of marketing strategies and materials for promotions of existing EV programs to customers developing partnerships with local business community including non-profit organizations City County school districts dealerships apartment owners and others to promote EV programs and assist with managing EV charging infrastructure projects throughout our region. Other responsibilities will include reviewing customers rebate application and organizing community events and employee presentations. The intern will also contribute to the companys strategic planning efforts such as the development of new customer programs including but not limited to energy storage demand response and virtual power plants initiatives. Intern will also be involved in helping with Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and evaluation of competitive bids.
EDUCATION:
Must be currently enrolled as a Full-Time Student at an accredited college or university in the United States majoring in Engineering Business Administration or a related field.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Enrolled as a Full-Time Student (Undergraduate 12 hours Graduate 9 hours) at an accredited college or university in the United States.
Must be classified as aSophomore Junior Senior or Graduate student.
Must have an overall minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 or above.
Must have a valid Drivers License.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with officers managers fellow employees and the general public.
Ability to maintain a strong sense of propriety concerning confidential matters.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Promote companys EV efforts and increase customers awareness through email campaigns events and presentations.
Review and approve customers rebate applications following regulatory requirements.
Respond to customer inquiries about EV programs.
Develop and maintain strong partnerships with local stakeholdersincluding non-profit organizations City County school districts dealerships universities apartment owners.
Generate business leads for placements of EV charging stations.
Strong organizational communication and presentation skills
Conduct benchmarking research on other utility programs.
Help with Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and evaluation of competitive bids.
Assist with the development of new programs (demand response distributed batteries virtual power plants etc.)
Assist with implementation of Take-Charge EV program in Texas
Ability to multitask while maintaining deadlines and to work in accordance with all Company policies and procedures.
Proficiency and experience in the use of standard Company software applications: Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with officers managers fellow employees general public and community partners.
Ability to maintain a strong sense of propriety concerning confidential matters.
