We are seeking an Intermediate Network Engineer to support installation operations maintenance and improvement of routed and switched networks in secure enterprise environments. This role sustains high availability supports troubleshooting and fault isolation implements approved changes and maintains accurate network documentation in coordination with internal teams and external mission partners.
*This position is contingent upon contract award.*
Responsibilities:
Configures and maintains network infrastructure components (routers switches firewalls) and essential network services to ensure stable secure connectivity.
Continuously monitors network performance and promptly troubleshoots any outages or degradations to minimize downtime and maintain service quality.
Implements VLAN routing and other connectivity changes through approved change management processes ensuring reliable and controlled network modifications.
Maintains current network diagrams and configuration documentation providing accurate records of network setups for effective planning support and audits.
Coordinates with mission partners to identify and resolve boundary or connectivity issues facilitating seamless integration and communication across networks.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Years of Experience: 35 years network engineering/operations.
Education Level: Bachelors degree in IT Cybersecurity Engineering or related field (preferred); equivalent experience considered.
Clearance Requirements: Must have active Top Secret (TS) clearance and the ability to obtain TS with SCI access.
Certification Requirements: CCNA or Network (minimum); CCNP preferred.
Travel may be required for role.
Any other work-related qualifications needed for the role: Hands-on Cisco enterprise networking experience; familiarity with structured change/configuration control and secure network operations.
