Senior Integration Developer IBM API Connect Lead
Duration: 6 month contract (potential to extend)
PR: 40-45/hr on w2 max
Location: 100% onsite in Lansing MI 5 days per week
Project Details: This person will be supporting the State of MI HUB project

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design development implementation and support of enterprise API and integration solutions
• Design develop and manage APIs using IBM API Connect (APIC) and related middleware technologies
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications solution designs and implementation plans
• Develop scalable REST and SOAP services aligned with enterprise architecture standards
• Deploy and manage API solutions within AWS and Kubernetes-based environments
• Configure and support IBM DataPower Gateway and API Gateway policies
• Implement and support API security standards including:
  • OAuth 2.0
  • OpenID Connect
  • JWT
  • TLS
• Collaborate with architects business analysts application teams and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end integration solutions
• Provide technical leadership through:
  • Design guidance
  • Code reviews
  • Troubleshooting support
  • Mentorship of junior developers
• Support release planning deployment activities defect resolution and production support
• Ensure adherence to API governance logging monitoring performance and operational best practices
• d track tasks/work items within Azure DevOps (ADO) as directed

Required Skills

• 7 years of experience in integration API development and middleware technologies
• 3 years of hands-on experience with IBM API Connect (APIC)
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical integration solutions
• Strong experience designing and developing REST and SOAP services
• Strong understanding of API security standards including:
  • OAuth 2.0
  • OpenID Connect
  • JWT
  • TLS
• Experience with:
  • JSON
  • XML
  • XSLT
  • API design best practices
• Hands-on experience with IBM DataPower Gateway
• Experience deploying and managing APIs within cloud and containerized environments
• Proven technical leadership and mentoring experience
