About the Role

Yoga Instructors at Bouldering Project lead intentional inclusive and inspiring classes that support the mind-body connection through breath and movement. Instructors are responsible for developing thoughtful sequences that align with BPs yoga class formats while cultivating a positive and welcoming studio environment for all participants. This role requires professionalism safety awareness and a community-focused attitude.



What Youll Do

Job duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Design and teach creative well-sequenced classes that align with BPs offerings (e.g. Power Flow Slow Flow Restore Sculpt Vinyasa)
  • Clearly cue safe and dynamic asana postures breathwork and transitions offering modifications for a variety of levels
  • Welcome all participants including new students and foster a community-centered class environment
  • Offer hands-on assists when appropriate and only with consent
  • Maintain professionalism by arriving early starting and ending class on time and upholding studio standards
  • Maintain studio cleanliness and proper care of yoga props and equipment
  • Coordinate sub coverage when unable to teach and support fellow instructors by subbing as needed
  • Respond to emergencies according to safety protocols and report incidents appropriately
  • Participate in staff meetings and continuing education sessions
  • Accurately check students into class and maintain class headcounts
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements

What Youll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • YT 200 (Yoga Alliance) or equivalent training and experience
  • Current CPR/AED certification and basic first aid training
  • Minimum 1 year experience teaching yoga classes
  • Strong communication and class management skills
  • Ability to serve a wide range of fitness levels and abilities


Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of yoga instruction experience
  • RYT 500 or E-RYT 200 designation
  • Experience teaching Hot Power Flow Yoga Sculpt or Restore
  • Bachelors degree in a related field (e.g. Exercise Science Wellness)
