Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process Optimization: Analyze existing business and production processes using value stream mapping time studies and workflow analysis to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.

• Continuous Improvement: Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to eliminate waste improve cycle times and foster a culture of ongoing operational excellence.

• Facility & Layout Design: Design optimal plant office or warehouse layouts using CAD software to maximize space utilization improve material flow and enhance worker safety.

• Capacity & Resource Planning: Develop production schedules labor utilization models and capacity planning tools to align operational throughput with fluctuating market demands.

• Data Analysis & Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs). Collect and analyze operational data using statistical methods to drive data-backed decision-making.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Production Quality Assurance Supply Chain and Executive Leadership to seamlessly integrate new technologies and processes.

• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Establish document and maintain standard work instructions to ensure consistency quality control and safety compliance.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Operations Research or a closely related engineering field.

• 25 years of experience in an industrial engineering manufacturing or distribution environment.

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD SolidWorks).

• Strong command of statistical analysis tools (e.g. Minitab Excel SPSS).

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production simulation software.

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is highly preferred;

• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) or Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities strong project management skills and the communication acumen needed to present complex data clearly to diverse stakeholders.
