In Room Dining Server

Position Summary - Pay Range $16.90/hr tips

The In Room Dining Server/Order Taker is responsible for receiving orders preparing orders and delivering items to guestrooms in an attentive courteous and efficient manner.

Essential Functions

• Must adhere to the companys Service culture 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
• Must participate in all hotel required meetings and trainings.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
• Comply with HotelStandards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
• Prepare station in anticipation of the days business. Stock work areas with china glassware linen coffee pots napkins and ensure that stock is clean and polished.
• Check VIP list and communicate orders to the kitchen and the next room service shift.
• Set trays and tables according to established standards.
• Deliver orders according to established standards.
• Retrieve trays on a timely basis.
• Must maintain delivery cart clean and presentable.
• Prepare and deliver amenities. Replenish as needed.
• Call all guests before delivery of order.
• Perform opening and closing duties according to established side work checklist.
• Conduct quality checks after each delivered order.
• Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials and upsell items to guests.
• Assist order taker in the answering of the telephone while maintaining the established standards.
• Communicate guest needs to proper department.
• Abide by all hotel policies and safety rules.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

• In compliance with California Laws Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handlers Certification are required.
• Must be 18 years of age to drive a golf cart.

Working Conditions and Schedule

• Long hours sometimes required.
• Medium work - Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects.
• Must be able to stand and work for extended periods of time during customary service hours.
• Must be able to bend stoop or reach as needed.
• This role requires driving a golf cart.
