In Home Health Aide

Comfort Keepers is now hiring an in home health aide for the Albany/Avon area!

Wage begins at $18 an hour unless Certified Nursing Assistant then $20 an hour. Eligible after 5 months of employment for free CNA classes with Scrubs Academy.

Part time and full-time hours available depending on your availability.

About the Job

As an in-home caregiver you will clients remain safe comfortable and independent in their own homes. Responsibilities may include:

• Assistance with Activities of Daily Living.
• Hands-on personal cares may include assistance with dressing grooming incontinence and hygiene.
• Light housekeeping includes cleaning bathroom living areas kitchens dusting mopping linen change vacuuming laundry garbage etc.
• Meal planning cooking and baking.
• Conversation and companionship.
• Interactive Caregiving.
• Assistance with mobility that may include use of transfer tools/equipment.
• Assistance with medication.
• Dementia or Alzheimers care.
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed.
• Provide proper electronic documentation of shift as well as cares.

Comfort Keepers Requirements

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Must be available every other weekend and holiday.
• 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Own reliable transportation clean driving record 3 years driving experience.
• Valid drivers license and auto insurance and comfortable driving.
• DHS and driving record background clearance.
• Customer Service Excellence Professional Boundaries required.
