Human Resources Generalist (Associate)

Core One seeks a Human Resource Generalist - Associate who will be partof an energetic and motivated team that directly impacts the growth and success of our organization. The Human Resource Generalist has responsibility over the day-to-day activities within human resources. The position will interact daily with the Recruiting staff Hiring Managers Accounting and Program Managers at the Company.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain day to day benefits administration and employee inquiries
• Oversee and execute new hire orientation including onboarding logistics and compliance tasks

• Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications
• Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants employees and supervisors referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
• Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings terminations and investigations
• Maintains compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintains knowledge of trends best practices regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources talent management and employment law

• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in HR
• Knowledgeable of the HR requirements for a mid-sized government contractor
• Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems
• Data-driven and detail oriented
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to act with integrity professionalism and confidentiality
• Ability to work under tight timeframes and problem-solve
• Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Prior experience in government contracting
• Experience with Paylocity
• SHRM or HRCI certification
