Job Summary
As our HR Operations Manager you will serve as the primary HR point of contact for our clients supporting day-to-day operations while ensuring compliance with employment laws and internal policies. You will handle a wide range of HR activities from reviewing and implementing contracts and policies to advising on employee relations and regulatory requirements. Those who excel in this role are detail-oriented proactive and confident navigating both client-facing conversations and behind-the-scenes operational work.
This is a client-facing role that requires adaptability precision and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Review draft and implement HR-related contracts employment agreements and policy documents
- Ensure compliance with federal state and international employment regulations; advise clients on compliance risks and solutions
- Support client payroll and benefits administration including coordination with PEOs and vendors
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes including offer letters background checks I-9 verification final pay and separation agreements
- Serve as a resource for employment law benefits and HR operations questions
- Oversee workers compensation EPLI and other employment-related insurance policies
- Conduct employee relations investigations and prepare documentation as needed
- Maintain and update employee handbooks compliance notices and HR records
- Coordinate reporting to government agencies (EEO ACA state registrations etc.)
- Monitor contract renewals policy deadlines and compliance calendars
- Prepare HR reports and audit files for internal and client use
- Work on special compliance or operational projects as assigned
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business or related field
- 6 years of HR operations compliance or generalist experience; experience in a client-facing role a plus
- Strong knowledge of HR principles employment law and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions
- Experience reviewing and drafting HR policies contracts and agreements
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple client priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with HRIS payroll systems and PEO models
- SHRM-CP PHR or other comparable certification required
- PHR-CA preferred
Compensation
Target compensation range: $115000 $125000 depending on experience location and qualifications
