Housekeeping Manager

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for ensuring the daily cleaning of all areas within The Ranch with special attention to details per our luxury additional to attending to guest accommodations the department also oversees Laundry and Public Area duties and responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:Assisting in creation of budget and maintaining expenses to said budgetScheduling all areas of division to ensure maximum productivityTraining standards in compliance to Ranch standards Forbes Travel Guide and Relais and ChateauxCoaching and counseling staff members through progressive discipline tacticsPurchasing and maintaining inventory levels throughout all products within divisionDuties and ResponsibilitiesKnowledgeable of and able to perform all duties of housekeeping laundry and public area with responsibilities and duties of housekeeping and laundry services during need guest concerns requests and special requirements in a timely manner to ensure guest guest concerns requests and special requirements in a timely manner to appropriate review & monitor staff schedules to ensure there is always sufficient within budget for any expenses and with leadership to recruit train and supervise counseling and coaching sessions with all staff members have arrived and document/find substitutes for any late or absent all staff members are dressed appropriately according to uniform policyPrioritize workload appropriately based on staffing and room availability information to Front DeskMaintains rooms and common areas of the property by conducting visual inspections of furniture walls and floor coverings; taking or recommending needed actions to to team effort by attending period staff meetings with other department supervisors; discussing company policies and patrons complaints; making recommendations to improve service and safe secure and healthy work environment by establishing following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal housekeeping supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; call for teamwork and quality service through daily communication and co-ordination with other team the Director of Housekeeping in managing property operations to maximize profitability and of three years supervisory experience in housekeeping/hospitality. Minimum of one year manager understanding of reservation software and housekeeping productivity standards preferredStrong understanding of chemical safety sanitation standards and regulations to ensure a safe environment Experience in recruitment and payroll systemsAbility to communicate with guests/employees to their understanding and to provide legible written communications and to compute basic mathematical calculations and follow budget drivers Skills/Physical DemandDisplay a friendly courteous and professional demeanor with guests and other to anticipate and understand guest inquiries providing prompt response to perform assignments with minimal supervision and focus attention on to prioritize organize work assignment and follow-up to achieve desired to ensure security and confidentiality of guest and company to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a to regularly lift and or move 30 lbs. and occasionally lift or move 50 to stand for long periods of time and move frequently from area to areaThis job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the position and it is not intended to be an exhaustive list of skills efforts duties responsibilities or working conditions associated with the position.
