Home Care Occupational Therapist Assistant- Full Time (South Shore, Nassau County)

Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is seeking a Full-Time Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our growing Homecare team. If youre passionate about helping patients regain independence in their homes we want to hear from you!

What Youll Do:

• Implements the occupational therapy plan of care as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan agency policy and professional standards of care.
• Instructs family members Home Health Aides and other caregivers in appropriate occupational therapy techniques.
• Ability to travel to and from the homes of your patients throughout your given territory.
• Strong communication skills between patients support staff and management including timely responses via text email phone etc.
• Must be willing to treat geriatric patients.

Qualifications :

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program
• Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of New Jersey. 
• Must have a minimum of 2 yrs of experience
• Mandatory Certifications: First Aid AED & CPR Certifications.
• Home health experience is preferred but not required - We will provide you with a mentor to help with documentation and compliance.
• Ability to travel to patients homes within the assigned geographic territory
• Strong communication skills between patients support staff and management including timely responses via text email phone etc.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $. Salary is based on various factors including relevant experience knowledge skills other job-related qualifications and geography. Medical dental vision 401(k) paid time off and other benefits are also available subject to the terms of the Companys plan.
