As ourHIM Team Lead you will help ensure the HIM department operates effectively and efficiently to meet the needs of the department hospital and corporation while maintaining high standards for data quality compliance and patient record confidentiality. Every day you willlead departmental workflows and staff activitiessupport chart completion birth certificate processing and month-end reporting andcommunicate with staff physicians and leadership to promote compliance and strong departmental performance. To thrive in this role you mustbe an organized self-motivated leader with strong communication skills sound judgment professionalism and the ability to handle highly confidential protected health information with discretion.
Heres what you will experience working as an HIM Team Lead:
Help lead daily HIM department operations under the supervision of the manager to support hospital goals and efficient workflows.
Partner with staff physicians nursing teams and leadership to improve chart completion data quality and regulatory compliance.
Support employee onboarding training staff development and ongoing communication to build a high-performing team.
Participate in quality management activities and maintain compliance with state federal and medical staff requirements.
Travel to other facilities as needed to provide coverage gather charts and support HIM-related processes.
Required Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; equivalent experience will be considered
Minimum4 years of experience
RHIT certification preferred
Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills
High degree of professionalism and discretion with protected health information
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple HIM functions
