Job Summary:

Under the direction of the administrators the paraprofessional is responsible for providing healthcare support to middle school students

Qualifications:

Required:

1. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven organizational skills

success as a collaborator and proven team player

successful communication skills with students staff parent and community

Desired Characteristics:

1. Previous experience working with children with health care needs
2. CPR & first aid certified or willing to be certified
3. Experience using technology

Duties:

1. Assist with hygiene routines and bathrooming or toileting needs
2. Ability to perform health care procedures as directed by health care plan and or IEP
3. Basic first aid assist giving medications & assist with diabetic related care
4. Maintain student information
5. Work independently and cooperatively with administrators and teachers
6. Ability to plan and organize; good work habits
7. Lift & transport items in and out of equipment lift items up to 50 #
8. Willing to participate in professional development
9. Perform other duties as assigned by administration
