Job Summary
Job Description:
- Pay: Based on experience starting at $26.88/hour and up
- This site manufactures DOVE chocolate
- Shift: 1st (Days)
- Schedule: Monday Friday
- Hours: 8am-5pm (Flexible)
- Must be flexible to cover additional shifts trainings when needed)
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma GED or equivalent education
- 1 years of experience in a health safety and environmental related role OR a bachelors degree in safety industrial hygiene environmental science engineering or relevant discipline
- Working knowledge of safety regulations
- Proficiency in software systems including MS Office email and web based applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Frequent lifting/carrying (1050 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50300 lbs).
- Frequent bending stooping twisting handling and gripping.
- Ability to work at elevated heights climb stairs lean over equipment and operate in confined spaces.
- Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods with shifts lasting up to 8 hours.
- Capable of working in hot cold and wet conditions.
- Proficient in understanding communicating reading and writing in English.
- Digital safety systems key administrator (Avetta SafePermit Everbridge Enablon Weever Nexus/EtQ HSE SharePoint HSE Dashboards etc.)
- Basic industrial hygiene monitoring (sound level maps dosimetry annual audiograms etc)
- Coordinate emergency response team training drills medical evaluations and equipment maintenance
- Coordinate inspections of eyewashes ladders AEDs and fire extinguishers
- PPE program administration HSE purchasing administrator and Safety Pillar member
- Maintain site Security policies and Building safety capability within the site
- Perform in person trainings as assigned
- Support trade contractor work planning and sitewide HSE communications
- Contribute to execution of strategy hazard identification and solution development
- Partners with other key functions on initiatives including Engineering Operations P&O Quality S&F to develop and deliver site-based goals and plans
- Any ad hoc requests as requested.
- Pay Range: Based on experience starting at $26.88/hour and up
