This is a leadership role at the forefront of hardware systems engineering where you will drive the development of innovative electrical architectures embedded observability capabilities and precision metrology systems across Apples product will manage and develop a talented team of electrical engineers responsible for advancing system-level design methodologies developing custom electrical instrumentation and delivering scalable engineering solutions that support product development characterization calibration and delivering engineering solutions you will help shape the teams technical direction identifying opportunities to influence product architecture establish common platforms and leverage AI-driven technologies to accelerate engineering development and improve role requires close collaboration with silicon hardware firmware software and operations teams along with the ability to communicate complex engineering strategies and influence technical decisions across organizational domestic and international travel may be required based on business needs.

Lead mentor and grow a team of electrical engineers fostering technical excellence innovation and strong cross-functional the architecture and development of electrical observability instrumentation and metrology systems across multiple Apple product lines from early concept through deployment at with silicon hardware and firmware teams to influence product architecture integrating measurement telemetry control and diagnostic capabilities directly into system the development of custom electrical systems including precision power delivery measurement instrumentation and scalable hardware AI-enabled engineering methodologies including intelligent data analysis automated design workflows and agentic tools that accelerate hardware development and system the teams strategic presence in product architecture discussions identifying opportunities to improve system observability reliability and engineering technical leadership in complex system-level investigations driving cross-functional problem-solving and data-informed engineering technical roadmaps and organizational priorities balancing near-term product deliverables with longer-term technology and platform with senior engineering leadership to communicate technical strategies influence architectural decisions and drive measurable engineering and business hiring performance management mentorship and career development to build a high-performing engineering domestically and internationally as needed.

BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field.n3 years of engineering management experience with strong hands-on hardware systems expertise or 7 years of technical leadership experience with demonstrated readiness for people experience in hardware systems development including architecture schematic design PCB layout bring-up characterization and electrical engineering fundamentals spanning analog power electronics mixed-signal and high-speed digital ability to lead complex engineering initiatives and collaborate across multiple technical disciplines.

Deep understanding of system architecture electrical instrumentation metrology and product characterization developing precision measurement systems programmable power architectures embedded telemetry or hardware observability influencing hardware or silicon architecture through cross-functional engineering with AI/ML-enabled engineering workflows intelligent automation and data-driven system or software development experience using Python C/C or similar developing scalable engineering platforms and reusable hardware architectures across multiple with schematic capture rigid/flexible PCB design and system-level electrical of measurement uncertainty statistical analysis correlation repeatability reproducibility and calibration ability to balance long-term technical strategy with hands-on engineering interpersonal communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence engineering teams and senior leadership.
