Location: Toledo OH 43606

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Hours will vary; some overtime weekends holidays may be required.)

In this role you will:

• Performs all technical aspects of grossing and dictating tissue specimens using a variety of laboratory materials and equipment under direct supervision of Pathologist or Pathologist Assistant.
• Ensures specimen integrity upon arrival and throughout the entire process.
• Dictates a gross description for each specimen including but not limited to anatomical site size color weight dimensions count volume cut techniques abnormal findings dissects and prepares tissue for cassettes.
• Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards
• Champion safety compliance and quality control

All you need is:

• An earned associate degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology obtained from an accredited institutionOR At least 60 semester hours or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• This education must include 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology coursesOR24 semester hours of science courses that includes 6 semester hours of chemistry 6 semester hours of biology and 12 semester hours of chemistry biology or medical laboratory technology in any combination.
• 2 year of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing
• Strong reading writing and analytical skills
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment including but not limited to: telephones computers automated analyzers centrifuges microscopes manual and automated pipettes and audible alarms.
