JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) &Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as definedby Viant policies practices &procedures to insure that FDA & ISO regulations &quality standards are metAssembles componentsMay be required to operate packaging machinePerforms Bar sealing/Tray sealing dutiesPerforms pad printing dutiesAssembles &inspects components with tight tolerances complex &miniaturegeometryOperates Laser and resistance welding equipmentInspects &assembles components under magnificationUses advanced dexterity required to work with very/small miniature components &equipmentPerforms equipment intensive assembly processes makes adjustments if required &authorized by proceduresRetains complex assembly process instructions once taught does not require frequent retrainingFollows all safety procedures as required by internal &external guidelines and policiesMaintain &follow 5s principles in all work areas at all timesParticipate in rapid movement eventsPerforms other duties as assignedPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:Knowledge/Education:High School diploma &equivalent certification preferredJob Experience:One year external manufacturing work experienceSkills/Competencies:Ability to read understand &follow specification sheetsBasic mathematical skills to understand tolerances &variationAbility to use measuring devices &hand toolsAbility to work independently with minimalsupervisionBasic understanding of hand tools (Allenwrenches screwdrivers pliers etc.)Detail oriented self-motivated &organizedAbility to clearly communicate any concerns or issues back tosupport staff verbally &writtenStrong communication any concerns or issues back to support staff verbally & writtenStrong communication skills with Production SupervisorDisplay a positive attitudePhysical Requirements:Frequent bending/lifting twisting standing &significant use of handsAbility to lift up to 50lbsExcellent vision &hand-eye coordinationMust be able &willing to wear personal protective equipment as required including:Protective eyewearEar plugsHair netProtective Gowning (lab coat hood show covers
