Job Title: Senior GIS Developer

Location: Reston VA (Hybrid)

Duration: Full-Time

Experience Required: 3 7 Years

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior GIS Developer to design develop and support enterprise geospatial applications and location intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with the ESRI ArcGIS platform geospatial analytics spatial databases cloud-based GIS solutions and GIS application development using Python JavaScript and SQL.

• Design develop implement and maintain enterprise GIS applications and geospatial solutions.

• Build and manage spatial databases geospatial services and location intelligence platforms.

• Develop and support cloud-based GIS applications and enterprise geospatial architectures.

• Create automated workflows for imagery processing raster analytics and geospatial data extraction.

• Collaborate with business and technology teams to deliver scalable GIS solutions aligned with enterprise standards.

• Implement geospatial analytics and GeoAI capabilities to solve complex business challenges.

• Ensure GIS platforms are secure scalable high-performing and compliant with organizational standards.

• Support geospatial data governance integration and system optimization initiatives.

• Bachelors degree in GIS Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or a related field.

• 3 7 years of experience developing GIS applications and geospatial solutions.

• Hands-on experience with:

  • ArcGIS Enterprise

  • ArcGIS Online

  • ArcGIS Pro

• Experience working with imagery and raster datasets using:

  • ArcGIS Image Analyst

  • Spatial Analyst

  • Raster Analytics

  • Equivalent geospatial technologies

• Strong experience developing automated workflows for:

  • Imagery Processing

  • Raster Analytics

  • Geospatial Data Extraction

• Strong programming skills in:

  • Python

  • JavaScript

  • SQL

• Experience with:

  • ArcGIS API for JavaScript

  • REST APIs

  • Web Services

• Experience with relational and spatial databases:

  • SQL Server

  • PostgreSQL/PostGIS

• Strong understanding of geospatial data models formats and industry standards.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

• Knowledge of GeoAI Machine Learning and Geospatial Analytics.

• Experience with Location Intelligence solutions.

• Familiarity with enterprise architecture and data governance practices.
